A few of our favourite designs

Kustom Krafts was founded by Dyan Allaire in 1999 initially because she couldn’t find the patterns she wanted to stitch. Dyan designs from her home in Canada and a studio in Sturgeon Falls in Ontario spending most of her time during the day in front of her computer planning and adapting cross stitch patterns. Dyan’s business is most famous for its stunning range of fantasy cross stitch designs and truly realistic wildlife creations. She also designs evocative spiritual patterns and has a range called Romance from the Past which features well known romantic works of art by famous painters.

Kustom Krafts patterns are beautifully presented and Dyan uses DMC stranded cottons to create dramatic works of art. Speciality threads are rarely used and most of her patterns are “stitched all over” so colour of fabric is less important because the subtle background colours are all stitched.

We supply a vast range of Dyan’s work from outstanding wildlife designs like Devoted Soulmates, Gaze, Spirit of the Lion and Spring Break to intricate fantasy designs like The Little Snap Dragon, Wind Wizard, Fire Wizard, Water Wizard and Earth Wizard. Dyan is also a prolific designer of horses like Freedom for All, The Defiant and the ever popular Fire & Ice.
