Lavender and Lace Counted Cross Stitch Designs of Distinction

Lavender & Lace is one of the most recognised counted cross stitch brand names in the world. The business was founded by Marilyn Leavitt Imblum and her reproduction of angels, fairies, babies, weddings and Christmas designs are universally synonymous with cross stitch patterns of the highest quality. Perhaps Marilyn is most famous for her Celtic designs (often referred to as Celtic Sisters) which feature elegant portraits of ladies wearing full length gowns. There are five in the series – Celtic Spring, Celtic Summer, Celtic Autumn, Celtic Winter and Celtic Christmas. Country Designs supply all of these designs as cross stitch patterns but they are also supplied with full materials packs.

Most Lavender & Lace designs require speciality materials such as Mill Hill Beads, Kreinik Blending Filaments and Rainbow Gallery Petite Treasure Braid. In some designs, Marilyn uses her own brand of threads (10 metre skeins of Egyptian cotton) called needlepaints. There are 17 colours which are used to add extra enhancement to designs like Angel of the Morning, Celtic Summer and Celtic Autumn.

In addition to the Celtic designs our best selling design is The Wedding sometimes referred to as United in Marriage. It shows the bride and groom and a flower girl and also gives hair colour changes if required.
