A few of our favourite designs

Country Designs has been stocking Mirabilia designs since they were first introduced. The designer, Nora Corbett, is one of the most prolific creators of fine and delicate counted cross stitch patterns in the industry. She is particularly famous for her rendition of fairies, angels, mermaids and elegant ladies. Nora is an expert at blending colours and fabrics and she is skilled at adding stitching embellishments such as Krienik braids and Mill Hill Beads and Crystal Treasures to give a magnificent finish to her work.

All Mirabilia designs have such global appeal it is difficult to single out “special” pieces. However, our customers are continually purchasing elegant designs like Maidens of the Seasons Part I and II, Rose of Sharon, The Stargazer and the stunning Royal Holiday also known as the Christmas Queen. Fairy designs include Lily of the Woods, The Petal Fairy and an outstanding range of Birthstone fairies including July’s Amethyst Fairy, June’s Pearl Fairy and the November Topaz Fairy. Enchanting mermaid designs are also a speciality including Mermaids of the Deep Blue, the South Seas Mermaid and Mermaid of Atlantis.

Finally, no Mirabilia collection would be complete without the stunning seasonal “Queen” designs – Spring Queen, Summer Queen, Autumn Queen and Winter Queen, featuring elegant ladies in glorious coloured gowns.
